NonBoardBoard attendees are leaders whose organizations operate in 32 countries on 5 continents helping over 11 million people. Here’s what some of them have to say:
NBB has been extremely beneficial to me. I started coming as a new Executive Director and have gained a wealth of knowledge over the years that has directly helped me in my role. I love that there is such a thing as NBB. It has been a huge blessing to me to be able to connect with others in the same types of roles and ministries and be able to share openly and honestly about the struggles we face as non-profit leaders. The guest speakers and topics have been so relevant and helpful.
– Autumn Kerr, Executive Director, Visiting Orphans
NBB has been an incredible asset for Against the Grain. From the quality of the speakers and topics to the encouragement and knowledge gained from other non-profit leaders, NBB has helped me grow as an Executive. It has created a safe place where we can share our weaknesses and concerns with the focus on growing from the experience of other Executives. I cannot put a value on the impact that NBB has had on our planning, fundraising and reporting.
-Rob Kendall, Executive Director at Against The Grain
NonBoardBoard is unlike any other organization I’ve experienced. There is a genuine interest in knowing the passions, needs and challenges the nonprofit leaders encounter and a true a commitment to speaking into those areas. I am most certainly better equipped to serve my organization as a result of my involvement with NonBoardBoard.
-Emily Carroll, Director of Development, The Refuge Center for Counseling
NonBoardBoard has provided me with an inspirational and motivating experience to network with other non-profit professionals to strategize on best practices as well as learn from experts in various fields who are working both stateside and internationally. I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing passionate people that represent various causes that are all making a huge impact.
-Bryan Doleshel, Vice President of Field Relations, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
Have you ever come upon a non profit organization with a great purpose and a passionate leader, but wanted to say “bless your Heart” 🙂
NBB teaches, builds up and connects these leaders so that the next time you encounter them, you are enticed to participate in the great good they are accomplishing in our community.
– Mace Linde, Founding Chairman, Grace Health Clinic
As the leader of a non-profit organization I have as a need the support, encouragement and networking with other non-profit leaders in a non-competative, uplifting and mutually beneficial environment. When the daily grind of leading a non-profit gets lonely, frustrating and challenging, or one just needs a refresher on a certain topic or subject, its great to be able to set some time aside with other leaders. The NBB (NonBoardBoard) accomplishes this for so many non-profit leaders. Besides great speakers highlighting some important topics we all deal with, the networking, encouragement and support is a huge plus. The impact for me personally has been one of training, teaching and encouragement.
-John Stayskal, Founder/Executive Director of Ultimate Goal Ministries
I am in process of launching a new nonprofit. Because I am not originally from Nashville, I don’t have deep connections or knowledge about the resources in this area. The Non Board Board provides information, opportunity for networking, ideas, training and connections. I am deeply grateful to Brian and the Non Board Board for the opportunity to participate in the monthly meetings.
– LeeAnn Courvoisier, Founder and CEO of ReRoute
Receiving my MBA was one of the most incredible and busiest times of my life. The education I receive at Non Board Board meetings is like my MBA on steroids: the wisdom of other non-profit leaders gives me practical things I can do right away to impact Food for the Hungry.
– Jeremy Ries, Director of Digital Marketing at Food for the Hungry
One of the direct results of being a part of the Non Board Board is that relationships between board members and the day to day leadership of our non profit have changed in a powerful way. The positive influence of NBB on our staff members and board alike has allowed our work together to become more effective and reach more deeply into the life of the village in Haiti in which we serve. We are a relatively young organization and NBB has also provided us with leadership tools that we would not have had otherwise. The guidance and training we have received has supported healthy development of our organization.
myLIFEspeaks has definitely received immeasurable support from being a part of the NBB and we are forever grateful for the work that NBB has accomplished there on behalf of organizations like ours.
– Russell Irwin, COO, myLIFEspeaks (Haiti)
